Job summary

Luxury Senior Living Communities in Coral Gables, near Kendall and Homestead, is seeking a Dietary Supervisor for Palace Nursing Home & Rehab Center in Miami, FL. The role oversees meal preparation and service for residents and staff, ensuring balanced, appealing menus.

You will lead kitchen staff, monitor portion sizes, sanitation, and regulatory compliance, and coordinate onboarding and training with the director to maintain quality and efficiency in daily food service operations.

Qualifications

• Two years of quantity cooking experience.
• Must operate food service equipment.
• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Be in good health and free from communicable diseases.
• Good communication skills in English; Spanish preferred.
• Knowledge of arithmetic and units used in food preparation.

Responsibilities

• Make rounds at mealtime to assess presentation and delivery and recommend changes.
• Direct staff in loading trays and carts, and in dispatching to rooms and dining areas.
• Check accuracy in item selecting, portion size, temperature, and tray appearance.
• Maintain sanitation standards based on County, State and Federal regulations.
• Work with the director in scheduling, evaluating, and orienting new food service employees.
• Assist in the general cleaning of kitchen areas.

Supervises and coordinates activities of workers engaged in preparing and serving balanced meals to residents and employees of facility.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities

• Make rounds at mealtime to assess appropriateness of food service presentation and delivery and recommend changes as indicated.
• Direct food service staff in loading trays and carts, and in dispatching to resident rooms and dining rooms.
• Check accuracy in item selecting, portion size, temperature, and attractiveness on tray line.
• Maintain and direct standards of sanitation and food handling based on County, State and Federal regulations.
• Work alongside Director in scheduling, evaluating, and orientating new food service employees
• Assist in the general cleaning of kitchen areas.

Qualifications
