Job summary

Northeast Center for Rehabilitation and Brain Injury is seeking a Dietary Supervisor to oversee the dietary department and ensure residents receive high-quality meal service. This full-time role focuses on supervising dietary aides, tray line accuracy, and collaboration with the facility dietician.

You will follow established policies, prepare meals that look appealing, and assist with cleaning duties, with a schedule that includes alternate Saturdays and Sundays.

Qualifications

• One to two years of supervisory experience in a related field.
• Prior industrial/commercial kitchen experience preferred.
• Able to read, write, and understand English.

Responsibilities

• Supervise dietary aides
• Check tray line accuracy
• Work with the facility's dietician as necessary
• Ensure all dietary procedures are followed in accordance with established policies
• Serve meals that are palatable and appetizing in appearance
• Assist in serving meals, as necessary, on a timely basis
• Serve food in accordance with established portion control procedures
• Assist in daily or scheduled cleaning duties
• Clean work tables, meat blocks, refrigerators/freezers, etc.
• Sweep and mop floors as directed
• Carry soiled utensils to wash area
• Return clean utensils to proper storage areas
• Wash and clean utensils as directed
• Carry out garbage and keep work areas clean and safe
• Set up meal trays, food carts, dining room, etc.
• Check and correct food items prior to service on line
• Assist cook in preparing meals
• Distribute and collect menus as necessary
• Obtain food supplies for next meal
• Assist in checking diet trays before distribution
• Deliver food carts, trays to designated areas
• Serve food in dining room as instructed
• Perform dishwashing/cleaning procedures
• Remove food trays from carts and dining rooms to dishwashing area
• Prepare and deliver snacks
• Perform other duties as assigned

Requirements:

Compensation:

• Rate will be commensurate with experience $18-$21/HR
