Job summary

HMR Veterans Services is seeking a dedicated Dietary Staff member to help provide nourishing meals for veterans. You will collaborate with the facility dietitian and ensure meals meet dietary guidelines while delivering friendly service to residents.

Responsibilities include meal prep, timely service, maintaining cleanliness, following safety protocols, and helping with inventory and substitutions as needed. Join a team devoted to those who served our country.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Able to read, write, speak and understand English.
• Follow oral and written instructions and maintain cleanliness, safety, and order in food service areas.
• Open to learning and applying new dietary practices.

• Maintain effective communication with interdepartmental staff to ensure quality food service.
• Prepare and serve meals on time, following portion control and dietary guidelines; assist with special meals and snacks.
• Set up and clean dining areas, trays, and carts; wash and store utensils and equipment properly.
• Maintain clean, organized, and sanitary food storage, prep, and service areas; follow all health and safety protocols.
• Monitor food inventory, assist with deliveries, substitutions, and report issues or recommend improvements to the Dietary Manager.
