Job summary

Desoto Health is seeking a Dietary Supervisor to oversee nutrition care for residents in ARCADIA, FL. You will complete nutritional assessments, develop care plans, supervise dietary staff, and coordinate with the interdisciplinary team to ensure high-quality resident nutrition.

Responsibilities include maintaining MDS, documenting progress, ensuring food safety, and providing resident education. Must have SAFE AND SERVE certification and Dietetic program education; experience in quantity food

Qualifications

• Education in Dietetic programs and basic computer skills.
• Two (2) years’ experience with quantity food production, clinical skills, and supervising dietary staff.
• Must be certified in SAFE AND SERVE.

Responsibilities

• Develops and maintains MDS (RAPs and triggers), nutritional histories and assessments on all residents.
• Documents progress notes on residents’ nutritional status and coordinates with the Interdisciplinary Care Plan team.
• Decides, organizes, motivates, and uses resources efficiently; supervises Head Cooks, Cooks and Dietary Aide staff.
• Consults with Dietary Manager on policies and procedures for food production, tray service, and safety of staff.
• Coordinates with the Consultant Registered Dietitian on residents’ nutritional needs.
• Ensures proper storage of all foods and supplies; follows food sanitation requirements.
• Leads training for Dietary staff and provides nutrition education to residents and families.
• Communicates nutrition status to nursing staff and supports care planning.
