Care Initiatives is seeking a Dietary Service Manager to oversee daily dietary department operations across nursing communities in Iowa. You will manage meals, staffing, and compliance with orders and dietary plans.

The role requires supervision experience, Food Services Supervisor training, and a ServSafe certification preference. Healthcare dietary experience is a plus and competitive benefits are offered.

Qualifications

• State-approved Food Services Supervisor Course completed.
• Certified Food Protection Manager and ServSafe Certification preferred.
• Experience in quantity food preparation and service.
• Willingness to complete training in Food Safety and Modified Diets.
• Healthcare dietary setting experience is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Oversee daily operations of the dietary department, including meals and staffing.
• Ensure residents receive nutritious meals per physicians' orders, dietary restrictions, and individualized care plans.
• Supervise, coach, and support dietary team members to promote quality service and teamwork.
• Manage food ordering, inventory, budgeting, and cost controls to ensure efficient department operations.
• Collaborate with department teams to support resident nutritional needs and satisfaction.
