Job summary

Prairie View Healthcare Center is seeking a Dietary Services Manager who loves food and nutrition and delivering a premier dining experience for residents.

Responsibilities include managing dietary policies with the Dietitian, representing the department at meetings, ensuring compliance with state and federal regulations, and adapting menus with the Dietitian to meet resident preferences.

Qualifications

• High school graduate or equivalent.
• Course in food service supervision meeting DMA standards, or 90+ hours with on‑job consulting by a dietitian.
• Moderate to heavy lifting (up to 50 pounds) and some bending/reaching.

Responsibilities

• Manages dietary policies and processes with the Dietitian.
• Represent the dietary department at staff meetings and communicate information to staff.
• Compliance verification at State and Federal levels for long‑term care.
• Adapts menu cycle to Center preferences with the Dietitian.
• Supervises procurement, ordering, receiving, and storage of food.
• Supervises food preparation and service, including direct participation as needed.
• Ensures sanitation, food service, ordering/storage, dietary staff hygiene, and equipment upkeep.
