Job summary

Apploi is seeking a Dietary Department Director to oversee the overall direction of the dietary program and staff in a health care setting. You will supervise personnel, manage food production, and ensure residents receive proper nutrition.

You will establish standards, perform appraisals, and ensure compliance with regulations while maintaining the department budget and QA involvement across meetings.

Qualifications

• College degree in food, nutrition, dietetics, or food service management or equivalent experience.
• Graduate of a dietetic technician training program approved by the ADA or state-approved course in Food Service Management.
• 2+ years supervisory experience in the dietetic service of a health care institution.

Responsibilities

• Directs the Dietary Department, personnel, and food production to ensure residents' nutritional well-being.
• Trains and develops staff; sets performance standards and conducts appraisals.
• Manages budgeting, costs, and invoicing for department operations.
• Ensures compliance with state regulations and internal policies for dietary services.
• Prepares standardized recipes, orders supplies, and monitors food production.
