Job summary

Liberty Commons of Lee County seeks an experienced Dietary Services Director for a full-time, day shift at Liberty Healthcare Management's Sanford facility. You will lead the dietary department and ensure quality dietary services in compliance with applicable regulations.

The role requires coordinating with medical teams, conducting nutritional assessments, and maintaining relationships with care plans and MDS conferences. Strong leadership and adherence to DMA standards are essential.

Qualifications

High school diploma or equivalent.
Graduate of a Dietary Manager Training program, DMA-approved certification.
Maintain current certification with at least 45 hours of continuing education every three years.
Knowledge of cost accounting, budget planning, menu planning, diet therapy and purchasing procedures.
Experience with MDS and ability to assess residents' nutritional needs.
Leadership ability and strong organizational skills.
Read and follow personnel, department and Facility procedures; comply with DMA Code of Ethics.

Responsibilities

Direct, coordinate, and supervise Dietary Services staff to ensure quality.
Ensure compliance with local, state, and federal sanitation laws and facility policies.
Coordinate food service to meet physician orders and approved corporate menu cycle.
Participate in Care Plans and MDS conferences.
Complete nutritional assessments and dietary sections of MDS.
Prepare and monitor work schedules for dietary staff.
Monitor orientation and training of dietary staff per facility policy.
Perform other duties as assigned.
