Job summary

Premier HCM is seeking a Dietetic Department Supervisor to lead daily dietary operations in a hospital/long-term care setting. You will coordinate with nursing and other departments, develop policies, and manage administrative tasks to ensure safe, high-quality nutritional services.

The role requires at least 1 year of supervisory experience in a medical facility, training in cost control and diet therapy, and leadership ability to manage staff and ensure regulatory compliance.

Qualifications

• Must have at least 1 year supervisory experience in a hospital, skilled nursing facility, or related medical facility.
• Must have training in cost control, food management, diet therapy, etc.
• Must possess the ability to deal tactfully with personnel, residents, families, visitors, and agencies.
• Must be knowledgeable of dietary practices and regulations governing long-term care facilities.
• Must possess leadership ability and willingness to supervise other personnel.

Responsibilities

• Plan, develop, organize, implement, evaluate and manage daily operations of the dietary department and its programs.
• Coordinate dietary services with nursing, activities, housekeeping, and other departments.
• Develop and maintain written dietary policies and procedures.
• Perform administrative duties and ensure control of equipment and supplies.
• Assist in preparing and planning the dietary department budget for approval.
• Review and develop corrective plans for dietary deficiencies noted during surveys.
