Job summary

Forest Glen Rehabilitation and Healthcare Center in Springfield, Ohio seeks an experienced Dietary Manager to lead the Dietary Department and ensure the highest quality meals and dining experiences for residents. You will oversee daily operations, budgeting, staffing, and compliance with safety and regulatory standards.

You will collaborate with the Registered Dietitian to meet residents' nutritional needs and physician diet orders, recruit and train staff, and drive excellence in service,

Qualifications

• Previous experience in dietary management, healthcare, or long-term care preferred.
• CDM certification preferred or willingness to obtain if required.
• Knowledge of food safety, sanitation, and long-term care regulations.
• Strong leadership, organizational, and communication skills.
• Ability to work collaboratively with interdisciplinary teams.
• Passion for serving seniors with dignity, compassion, and excellence.

Responsibilities

• Direct the daily operations of the Dietary Department.
• Plan, organize, and supervise meal preparation and food service.
• Ensure compliance with all sanitation, safety, and regulatory requirements.
• Work closely with the Registered Dietitian to meet residents' nutritional needs and physician diet orders.
• Manage food purchasing, inventory, and department budget.
• Recruit, train, schedule, and develop dietary staff.
• Maintain a clean, safe, and welcoming kitchen and dining environment.
• Promote outstanding customer service for residents, families, and staff.
