Job summary

Trinity Health in a PACE setting seeks an experienced Dietary Manager to lead the daily operations of the Dietary Department. This role ensures safe, nutritious, and high-quality meal services aligned with therapeutic diets and participant needs.

The position emphasizes leadership, budgeting, and collaboration with dietitians and administration to coordinate events and assessments, with Day 1 benefits and Tuition reimbursement offered.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Bachelor's degree in Food & Nutrition, Dietetics, or related field preferred; RD credentials are a plus.
• Minimum 5 years of experience in quantity food preparation in healthcare, hospitality, senior living or related industry.
• Supervisory experience required.
• ServSafe Certification required or obtainable within 3 months of hire.

Responsibilities

• Manage daily dietary department operations, including food preparation, meal service, sanitation, inventory, and purchasing.
• Ensure compliance with therapeutic diets, portion control standards, and food safety regulations.
• Supervise and develop dietary staff; foster a positive team environment.
• Maintain kitchen cleanliness and equipment safety; adhere to policies and procedures.
• Conduct weekly/monthly inventories and manage departmental budgets and expenditures.
• Coordinate with administration and the dietitian for special functions and catered events.
• Interact with participants to enhance dining experience and satisfaction.
• Support education and training for health care professionals as needed.
