Job summary

Trinity Health PACE is seeking a Dietary Manager to lead the daily operations of the Dietary Department within a PACE setting. You will oversee food preparation, portion control, inventory, and budget management while ensuring quality, safety, and therapeutic diet adherence.

This leadership role requires strong supervision, budgeting, and collaboration with dietitians and administration to coordinate events and care plans for participants.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Bachelor's degree in Food & Nutrition, Dietetics, or related field preferred; Registered Dietitian credentials are a plus.
• Minimum of five (5) years of experience in quantity food preparation within healthcare, hospitality, senior living, or related.
• Supervisory experience required.
• ServSafe Certification required or ability to obtain within three months of hire.
• Strong leadership, budgeting, communication, conflict resolution, and organizational skills.
• Ability to work independently, exercise sound judgment, and adapt to changing priorities.

Responsibilities

• Manage daily dietary department operations including food prep, meal service, sanitation, inventory, and purchasing.
• Ensure compliance with therapeutic diets, portion control, and food safety regulations.
• Supervise, coach, and develop dietary staff while fostering a positive team environment.
• Maintain kitchen cleanliness, equipment safety, and adherence to policies and procedures.
• Conduct weekly and monthly food inventories and manage departmental budgets and expenditures.
• Collaborate with administration and the dietitian to coordinate special functions and catered events.
• Interact with participants to enhance dining experience and overall satisfaction.
• Participate in food production activities such as cooking, baking, and meal prep as needed.
• Promote Trinity Health PACE's mission, values, and commitment to quality care.
• Conduct initial and annual nutritional assessments; coordinate care plans with interdisciplinary team.
• Monitor monthly weights, diagnoses, drug-nutrient interactions; report changes to staff.
• Perform initial and annual competencies on Dietary Aide(s).
• Oversee maintenance/cleanliness and orderliness of serving kitchen.
• Liaise with contracted meal service to meet participant needs.
• Provide education and training to health care professionals as needed.

We are seeking an experienced and compassionate Dietary Manager to lead the daily operations of our Dietary Department within a PACE (Program of All-Inclusive Care for the Elderly) setting. This leadership role is responsible for ensuring the delivery of safe, nutritious, and high-quality meal services that support participant health, wellness, and dietary needs.

Key Responsibilities

• Monitor monthly weights, medical diagnosis, drug nutrient interactions, reports changes to the interdisciplinary team and makes recommendations for changes to appropriate staff.
• Perform initial and annual competencies on the Dietary Aide(s).
• Oversee maintenance/cleanliness and orderliness of serving kitchen.
• Act as a liaison with contracted meal service to ensure meals meet the needs of the PACE participants
• Provide education and training to health care professionals as needed.
