Job summary

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Dietary Manager certification preferred.

Responsibilities

• Participation in nutritional care of residents including data collection for assessments and care plan meetings.
• Staffing the dietary department including scheduling, budgeting, hiring and training new employees.
• Evaluation and termination of employees as needed.
• Communicates payroll and department information to the office manager.
• Purchasing, requisitioning, receiving and storage of all food and supplies; keep costs within budget.
• Maintain high sanitation standards and enforce cleaning schedules.
• Coordinate equipment maintenance in the dietary department.
• Maintain records for menus, recipes, diet cards and diets served.
• Adhere to facility policies and procedures and ensure patient rights and infection control.

Education

High School Diploma or GED

Certification with the Dietary Manager's Association (preferred)
