Qualifications

• Leadership or dietary/food service leadership experience preferred.
• Healthcare or long-term care experience is a plus.
• Strong organizational and communication skills.
• Ability to lead and motivate a team.
• Knowledge of food safety and sanitation.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
• Compassionate, resident-focused approach.
• Dietary Manager certification preferred, but not required.

Responsibilities

• Lead, train, and support the dietary team.

Silvercrest of Urbana is looking for a Dietary Manager to lead our dietary department and ensure our residents receive high-quality, nutritious, and enjoyable meals. What You'll Do:

• Lead, train, and support the dietary team

• Oversee daily dietary operations, including meal service and food preparation

• Ensure meals are prepared and served according to resident diets, preferences, and physician orders

• Maintain compliance with state, federal, and facility food service regulations

• Monitor food quality, sanitation, cleanliness, and safety standards

• Manage dietary schedules, staffing, and department needs

• Assist with food ordering, inventory, and cost control

• Work closely with nursing and other departments to meet resident nutritional needs

• Respond to resident and family feedback and help create a positive dining experience

• Participate in quality assurance and performance improvement initiatives

What We're Looking For:

• Previous dietary or food service leadership experience preferred

• Long-term care or healthcare experience is a plus

• Strong organizational and communication skills

• Ability to lead and motivate a team

• Knowledge of food safety and sanitation practices
