Job summary

Olney Rehabilitation and Care Center is seeking a dedicated Dietary Manager to lead our dietary department and ensure high-quality nutritional care for residents. The role involves supervising staff, planning menus, and ensuring compliance with safety and health regulations.

The ideal candidate will hold a CDM certification, have prior healthcare dietary management experience, and demonstrate strong leadership and communication skills.

Qualifications

• Certified Dietary Manager (CDM) or similar certification is required.
• Experience in a dietary or food service management role, preferably in healthcare or long-term care.

Responsibilities

• Plan, organize, and manage the dietary department to meet residents' nutritional needs.
• Supervise dietary staff, including scheduling, training, and performance management.
• Ensure meals are prepared according to residents' dietary requirements, preferences, and care plans.
• Maintain compliance with state, federal, and local regulations, including food safety and sanitation standards.
• Collaborate with healthcare staff to address residents' nutritional needs and implement dietary changes as needed.
• Develop and monitor the dietary department budget and maintain cost controls.
• Oversee inventory management, including ordering and storing food and supplies.
• Conduct routine audits of meal preparation, service, and kitchen cleanliness.
• Provide excellent customer service to residents, families, and staff.
