Job description

We need a Full-Time Dietary Manager to join our team at Heritagespring Skilled Nursing and Rehabilitation in West Chester, OH.

Salary: $16 to $25 Per Hour

You will help the chef supervise an efficient and effective dietary department. Your role includes planning, organizing, coordinating, and directing the dietary department to provide nutritious and palatable foods to our residents.

Responsibilities:
  • Assist in managing food service operations
  • Assist in orientation, training, and supervision of dietary staff
  • Help maintain quality standards through in-service programs
  • Ensure staff properly use and clean dietary equipment
  • Conduct meal rounds to supervise meal delivery and address residents' food preferences
  • Learn residents' likes and dislikes
  • Oversee work areas including preparation, production, stock rooms, and the dish room to maintain safety and sanitation standards
  • Contribute to menu planning and development
  • Complete PI audits as assigned
  • Assist with inventories and stock rotation
  • Participate in performance evaluations and discipline for dietary employees
  • Communicate with the dietitian/diet tech and other disciplines to ensure teamwork and quality care
  • Fill in for any position due to call-offs
Minimum Requirements:
  • High school diploma
  • Management and culinary experience (beneficial)
  • Desire to grow within the organization
  • Positive attitude and passion for working with the elderly
