Job summary

CareCore at Westmoreland is actively seeking an experienced Dietary Manager to lead our dietary department, ensuring high-quality meals in a clean, safe, and welcoming environment for residents.

The ideal candidate is a hands-on leader with proven experience in managing food service operations, supervising staff, and maintaining compliance in healthcare or long-term care settings. ServSafe certification is required, with CDM a plus.

Qualifications

• ServSafe certification is required.
• Experience in dietary or food service management.
• Long-term care, skilled nursing, or healthcare experience preferred.
• CDM certification is a plus.
• Strong leadership, organization, and communication skills.
• Knowledge of food safety, sanitation, therapeutic diets, and regulatory requirements.
• Ability to lead a team while remaining hands-on with daily operations.

Responsibilities

• Oversee daily operations of the dietary department.
• Supervise, schedule, train, and support dietary staff.
• Manage food and supply ordering, inventory, and department costs.
• Collaborate with Dietitian and nursing team to meet resident dietary needs.
• Ensure meals meet prescribed diets and resident preferences.
• Maintain kitchen cleanliness, sanitation, and food safety standards.
• Ensure compliance with state, federal, and facility regulations.
• Maintain survey readiness and dietary documentation.
• Assist with recruiting, onboarding, and developing dietary team members.
• Promote a positive dining experience for residents.
