Responsibilities

  • Oversee the daily operations of the Dietary Department.
  • Supervise, schedule, and provide direction to dietary staff.
  • Ensure meals are prepared and served accurately, safely, and timely.
  • Ensure resident meals comply with physician orders, prescribed diets, food consistencies, allergies, and other dietary requirements.
  • Coordinate with nursing and other departments regarding resident dietary needs and changes.
  • Monitor food quality, portioning, presentation, and resident satisfaction.
  • Maintain appropriate food, supply, and inventory levels.
  • Assist with ordering food and dietary supplies while monitoring department costs and waste.
  • Ensure proper food storage, labeling, preparation, sanitation, and temperature control.
  • Maintain kitchen and food service areas in accordance with applicable sanitation and safety requirements.
  • Maintain required dietary records, logs, menus, and documentation.
  • Provide orientation, training, coaching, and ongoing supervision to dietary staff.
  • Monitor employee performance, attendance, and compliance with department expectations.
  • Assist with addressing resident and family concerns related to dietary services.
  • Participate in interdisciplinary meetings, quality improvement initiatives, and facility meetings as required.
  • Assist with preparation for surveys, inspections, and audits.
  • Follow facility policies and applicable food service and regulatory requirements.
  • Perform additional dietary management responsibilities as assigned.

Paul House & Health Care Center is seeking an organized, dependable, and experienced Dietary Manager to lead our Dietary Department. The Dietary Manager is responsible for overseeing daily food service operations while ensuring residents receive safe, nutritious, and appropriate meals in accordance with their dietary needs and preferences.

This position requires strong leadership, organization, and the ability to effectively manage dietary staff while collaborating with nursing and other members of the interdisciplinary team.
