Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent is required; trade or vocational training is preferred.
• 4 years of experience in healthcare food service is required; knowledge of record keeping, menu planning, therapeutic diets, and purchasing practices is desired.
• ServSafe Food Protection Manager Certification is required; CDM certification is preferred.
• Strong organizational skills; experience with inventory, recipe writing, procedure writing, and staff supervision is essential.

Overview

Suncoast Behavioral Health Center provides quality mental health care and education services for adolescents, ages 11–17 who are experiencing behavioral, emotional, educational, family and social challenges. The dedicated professionals provide quality mental health treatment for children, establishing healthy behaviors and preparing children to transition back home.

Responsibilities

The facility is looking for a Dietary Manager who will be responsible for managing and coordinating all activities of the Food Services Department. This includes providing nutritional and attractive meals for patients and facility employees, maintaining an organized and sanitary environment, monitoring supply inventories and purchasing of food and supplies as required, ensuring proper storage of food and supplies and managing an effective Dietary staff.

Qualifications

• Physical Requirements: Good physical health and good mental attitude is essential. Stands and walks most of the day. Handles and manipulates equipment. Tastes and smells food to determine quality. Reaches, lifts and carries relatively light material.
