Job summary

Aviara Healthcare Center is seeking a dedicated dietary assistant to learn and follow food service routines promptly. You will set up meal trays, assist with serving meals, and help ensure safe dishwashing operations.

You will prepare nourishments, maintain kitchen sanitation, and support the dietary team through routine cleaning and organized workflow. Training and cooperation with all departments are emphasized.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Must obtain and maintain food handlers' certificate.
• Ability to read technical procedures and follow recipes.

Responsibilities

• Learn food service routine quickly and follow established procedures.
• Set up meal trays and assist with serving meals.
• Operate dishwasher and monitor water temperatures and chlorine levels.
• Prepare nourishments and snacks; keep kitchen clean and sanitary.
• Sweep, mop, and maintain floors; manage trash and groceries.
• Participate in orientation and ongoing training of dietary staff.
