Job summary

Antelope Valley Care Center is hiring a Dietary Aide to support meal preparation and serving. You will set up trays, assist with meals, and help maintain a clean kitchen environment under supervision.

Knowledge of food service routines and ability to follow recipes is essential, with the expectation to learn quickly. The role requires a high school diploma or equivalent and obtaining a food handlers’ certificate; physical tasks include standing, lifting up to 50 pounds, and basic cleaning

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Ability to read technical procedures and follow recipes.
• Must obtain and maintain a food handlers’ certificate.

Responsibilities

• Set up meal trays and assist with serving meals.
• Learn food service routines quickly and work with the cook and dietary supervisor.
• Wash dishes, operate the dishwasher and maintain cleanliness of kitchen surfaces.
• Check chlorine concentration and water temperature of the dishwasher at shift start.
• Prepare nourishments, snacks, and keep the kitchen clean and organized.
• Assist with restocking groceries and maintain safe, sanitary work environment.
