Warr Acres Nursing Center in Warr Acres, Oklahoma is seeking a skilled Dietary Cook to join our culinary team. You will prepare and serve high-quality meals for patients, residents, and staff, with attention to dietary needs and cultural requirements.

As a Dietary Cook, you will maintain a clean, organized kitchen, manage inventory and ordering, develop new menu items, and collaborate with the dietary team to ensure nutritional balance and patient satisfaction.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent; formal culinary training or experience is a plus.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with multiple tasks and deadlines.
• Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
• Physical ability to lift, stand for long periods, and kneel as needed.
• Food handling and sanitation certification (or willingness to obtain).

Responsibilities

• Prepare and cook a variety of hot and cold meals, including special dietary needs and cultural requirements.
• Maintain a clean and organized kitchen, following food safety standards.
• Collaborate with the dietary team to plan menu cycles ensuring nutritional balance and patient satisfaction.
• Manage inventory and ordering of food, supplies, and equipment.
• Develop and implement new recipes and menu items to keep dining experiences fresh.
• Provide excellent customer service to patients, residents, and staff.
• Maintain accurate records of food inventory, meal production, and customer feedback.
