Job summary

Mary Health of the Sick seeks a Dishwash Assistant to maintain clean and sanitized dishes, utensils, and kitchen equipment while following food safety and infection prevention guidelines. You will operate the dishwashing machine, manage three-compartment sinks, and monitor temperatures and sanitizer concentrations as required.

The role includes meal service support, tray line setup, dining room clearing, restocking, and safe handling of adaptive dining equipment.

Qualifications

• Knowledge of sanitation standards and food safety procedures.
• Ability to follow safety guidelines and infection prevention measures.
• Experience working in a kitchen or healthcare dining environment is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Operate dishwashing machine and three-compartment sinks per procedures.
• Wash, rinse, sanitize, and air-dry dishes and equipment; inspect for residue or damage.
• Maintain clean and organized work areas; report unsafe conditions.
• Assist with meal service duties, tray line setup, and kitchen cleanup as assigned.
