Job summary

Dockside Health & Rehab Center in Locust Hill, VA is seeking a Food Service Manager to oversee the operation of the food service department in a skilled nursing setting. You will manage staffing, food ordering, meal preparation, delivery, safety and sanitation in line with policies and regulations.

Qualifications

• Must possess a High School Diploma, or equivalent and must possess a Food Handler level II or similar food safety certification per state specific requirement.
• Must also be a certified food service manager; or
• Have an associate’s or higher degree in food service management or in hospitality, if the course study includes food service or restaurant management, from an accredited institution of higher learning; and
• In States that have established standards for food service managers or food service managers, meets State requirements for food service managers or food service managers.

Responsibilities

• Manage the operation of the food service department, including staffing, food ordering, meal preparation, food delivery, food safety and kitchen sanitation.
• Ensure quality nutritional services are provided daily and supervise food service staff.
