Our Warrenton community is a small, close-knit assisted living community with 35 apartments and 41 licensed beds. We are seeking an experienced, compassionate, and organized Dietary Director to lead our dining services team and provide residents with nutritious, appealing meals and an exceptional dining experience.

Responsibilities

• Oversee the daily operations of the dietary department.
• Plan and implement nutritious, appealing menus that accommodate residents' dietary needs and physician-ordered diets.
• Hire, train, supervise, and schedule dietary team members.
• Maintain high standards for food quality, sanitation, infection control, and kitchen safety.
• Ensure compliance with applicable health, food safety, and senior living regulations.
• Manage food ordering, inventory, supplies, and the department budget.
• Collaborate with the Wellness team and healthcare providers regarding special dietary needs.
• Create a positive dining experience that supports residents' health, comfort, and quality of life.

Qualifications

• Previous experience as a Dietary Director, Food Service Manager, or similar leadership role in assisted living, long-term care, skilled nursing, or another healthcare setting.
• Knowledge of therapeutic diets and the nutritional needs of older adults.
• Strong leadership, communication, organization, and time-management skills.
• ServSafe certification preferred.
• Familiarity with applicable dietary, sanitation, and food safety regulations.
• Ability to lead a team in a fast-paced, resident-focused environment.
