Job summary

AVIR Health Group is seeking a Dietary Cook to prepare high-quality meals for residents according to diet specifications and facility standards. The role emphasizes safety, teamwork and compassionate care in a healthcare setting.

Walk-ins welcome daily. Benefits include 401k with match, family health insurance, PTO, and daily pay options. You will work with a dedicated team to support residents and staff across meals and dietary needs.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED is required.
• Nursing home experience preferred.
• Culinary/food service experience in healthcare preferred.

Responsibilities

• Utilize a variety of cooking and food preparation equipment and techniques.
• Prepare simple food regimes and basic modified diets regarding individual resident nutritional needs.
• Adjust recipes to yield the required number of servings if necessary.
• Test recipes and recommend changes in recipes.
• Prepare and cook food in batches, maintaining high quality and appeal.
• Directs activities of one or more workers who assist in preparing and serving meals.
