Job summary

AVIR Health Group is seeking a qualified Dietary Cook to join our family-focused facility. You will prepare and cook high-quality foods for all regular and modified diets, serving residents, guests, and employees, while strictly adhering to State Department of Health rules and facility standards.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED is required.
• Prior office experience is preferred.
• Previous Nursing Home experience is preferred.
• Culinary/food service experience in a health care facility is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Utilize a variety of cooking and food preparation equipment and techniques.
• Prepare simple food regimes and basic modified diets regarding individual resident nutritional needs.
• Adjust recipes to yield the required number of servings if necessary.
• Test recipes and recommend changes in recipes.
• Prepare and cook food in batches, maintaining high quality and appeal.
• Directs activities of one or more workers who assist in preparing and serving meals.
