Job summary

Prosser Memorial Health is seeking a Dietary Cook responsible for food preparation under the guidance of the Dietary Manager and Cook. The candidate will ensure compliance with food safety standards while maintaining quality food service.

Qualifications include a high school diploma or equivalent and a Food Handler's Permit. This per diem/on-call position offers a pay range of $18.00-$27.50 and eligibility for incentive compensation up to 5% of annual salary, along with excellent health benefits.

Job Summary

Under the general supervision of the Dietary Manager and Cook, the Dietary Cook prepares food in accordance with the applicable federal, state and corporate standards, guidelines and regulations with established policies and procedures. Ensures quality food service is provided at all times.

Education and/or Experience Requirements

• High school graduate or equivalent required
• Work experience: Should be knowledgeable in handling and preparing food.
• Food Handler’s Permit required.
• On-the-job training to include short demonstrations for up to and including 90 days.
