Job summary

Meadowview Nursing Center in Pell City, AL, seeks a Dietary Cook to join the dietary department and help prepare nutritious meals for our 59 residents. Prior kitchen experience is preferred; training will be provided. You will work with the kitchen team to ensure high-quality meals and safe, sanitary practices.

Responsibilities

• Prepare nutritious meals, snacks, and beverages following established recipes and dietary guidelines.
• Cook and serve meals while maintaining food safety and hygiene standards at all times.
• Collaborate with the dietary manager to plan menus meeting residents’ nutritional needs and preferences.
• Assist with kitchen cleanliness and sanitation to uphold sanitation standards.
• Monitor inventory and assist with ordering supplies for meal preparation.
• Support events and activities with meal-related dining experiences for residents.
• Participate in nutrition education programs to enhance knowledge and skills.
