Job summary

AVIR Health Group is seeking a qualified Dietary Cook to join our family and support resident-focused care. You will prepare and cook high-quality foods for regular and modified diets, serving residents, guests and employees while adhering to health regulations.

Walk-ins are welcome daily. Benefits include daily pay, 401k with a match, family health insurance, and supportive corporate culture.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED is required.
• Previous office experience preferred.
• Previous Nursing Home experience preferred.
• Culinary and/or food service experience in a health care facility preferred.

Responsibilities

• Utilize a variety of cooking and food preparation equipment and techniques.
• Prepare simple food regimes and basic modified diets regarding individual resident nutritional needs.
• Adjust recipes to yield the required number of servings if necessary.
• Test recipes and recommend changes in recipes.
• Prepare and cook food in batches, maintaining high quality and appeal.
• Directs activities of one or more workers who assist in preparing and serving meals.
