Job summary

AVIR Health Group is seeking a qualified Dietary Cook to join our family, serving residents, guests, and employees with high-quality meals and modified diets in a compassionate team environment.

You will adhere to health regulations while preparing appealing meals, direct junior staff, and adjust recipes to meet individual nutritional needs. Walk-ins welcome daily as part of our friendly community facility setting.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Previous office experience preferred.
• Previous Nursing Home experience preferred.
• Culinary and/or food service experience in a health care facility preferred.

Responsibilities

• Utilize a variety of cooking and food preparation equipment and techniques.
• Prepare simple food regimes and basic modified diets regarding individual resident nutritional needs.
• Adjust recipes to yield the required number of servings if necessary.
• Test recipes and recommend changes in recipes.
• Prepare and cook food in batches, maintaining high quality and appeal.
• Directs activities of one or more workers who assist in preparing and serving meals.
