Job summary

AVIR Health Group is seeking a Dietary Cook to join our family and prepare high-quality meals for residents, guests, and staff. The role ensures compliance with health regulations and supports modified diets as needed, within a Monday–Friday 5a–10a PT schedule.

The successful candidate is team-oriented, reliable, and eager to contribute to a caring facility culture. Walk-ins are welcome for the opportunity to join our team.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED.
• Previous office experience preferred.
• Previous Nursing Home experience preferred.
• Culinary and/or food service experience in a health care facility preferred.

Responsibilities

• Use a variety of cooking and food preparation equipment.
• Prepare simple food regimes and modified diets according to resident needs.
• Adjust recipes to yield the required number of servings.
• Test recipes and suggest changes as needed.
• Prepare and cook food in batches, maintaining high quality and appeal.
• Directs activities of one or more workers who assist in preparing and serving meals.
