Job summary

Cura Health in Long Prairie, MN is seeking a Cook/Chef to prepare nutritious meals per daily menu, maintain safe storage, and ensure proper serving temperatures. This hourly position emphasizes sanitation, accuracy, and teamwork in a busy dietary department.

When the Dietitian is away, you will supervise the Second Cook and Dietary Aides, assist with menu planning, monitor diet changes, and ensure compliance with facility policies and state/federal rules.

Qualifications

• Experience in hospital or dietary service preferred.
• Ability to follow recipes and daily menu.
• Good communication and teamwork.

Responsibilities

• Handles, prepares, and serves food in a safe and sanitary manner.
• Ensures meals are prepared and served at proper temperatures.
• Supervises staff in food preparation and sanitation.
• Assists Dietitian in planning department improvements.
• Maintains accurate diet change orders and daily dietary logs.
• Prepares food according to daily menu and standardized recipes.
• Cleans and sanitizes work areas and equipment.
