Qualifications

• Ability to follow written menus and recipes accurately.
• Commitment to food safety and sanitary preparation.

Responsibilities

• Handle and prepare food in a sanitary manner.
• Prepare palatable, appetizing dishes.
• Keep work area clean and sanitize surfaces.
• Follow written menus and recipes.
• Understand and prepare therapeutic diets.
• Be responsible for avoiding food waste.
• Meet meal schedules.
• Ensure equipment is in good working order.
• Work cooperatively with dietary staff and other departments.
• Attend in-service training programs for dietary employees.
• Observe infection control procedures.
• Follow the Resident Assessment Instrument (RAI) processes per state and federal guidelines.
• Follow Residents’ Rights policies at all times.
• Adhere to all facility policies and procedures and assist in disciplinary actions as appropriate.
• Ensure adherence to the Corporate Integrity Program and performance expectations.
• Perform other related duties as directed by the Dietary Manager and/or authority.
