Job summary

St. Francis Healthcare Center is seeking a Dietary Cook for a full-time role. You will prepare meals using approved menus and recipes, while adhering to prescribed diets and safety standards in a healthcare kitchen.

Qualifications

• Previous cooking experience required, healthcare experience preferred.
• Knowledge of food preparation, sanitation, and safe food-handling practices.
• Ability to follow menus, recipes, and special dietary instructions.
• Food Handler's certification as required by applicable regulations.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and cook meals according to approved menus and standardized recipes.
• Follow residents' prescribed diets and special dietary requirements.
• Prepare meals in appropriate quantities and ensure proper serving temperature.
• Maintain high standards of food quality, presentation, and freshness.
• Follow all food safety, sanitation, and infection control procedures.
• Store, label, and rotate food and supplies.
• Monitor food inventory and notify Dietary Supervisor of needed supplies.
• Maintain a clean, organized, and sanitary kitchen and work area.
• Operate kitchen equipment safely and properly.
• Assist with meal service and other dietary duties as needed.
• Follow facility policies and applicable healthcare and food service regulations.
• Collaborate with dietary staff and other departments to ensure excellent resident service.

Position: Dietary Cook Employment Type: Full-Time Pay Rate: $23.00 per hour
