Masonic Homes Kentucky in Louisville is seeking a Dining Services Cook to prepare fresh meals for residents, follow recipes, and support daily kitchen operations. This full-time role emphasizes safety, sanitation, and warm, patient-focused service.

You will work in a busy, friendly environment, lift up to 25 lbs, and participate in rotating weekend schedules. Prior cook or food service experience is required; high school diploma or GED preferred.

Qualifications

• 1+ year of experience as a cook or in a similar food service role.
• Ability to multitask and work efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality.
• Basic math skills for portioning and recipe adjustments.
• Must be able to lift/move up to 25 lbs frequently.
• Must be able to work a rotating weekend schedule.

Responsibilities

• Prepare ingredients and cook meals according to menu standards.
• Follow established recipes, portion guidelines, quality expectations, and presentation standards.
• Support meal service by coordinating with dietary staff and ensuring timely plating.
• Maintain a clean, safe, and organized kitchen and work area.
• Follow sanitation, safety, and food-handling procedures.
• Monitor inventory and communicate supply needs to leadership.
• Assist with dishwashing, equipment cleaning, and closing duties as needed.
• Contribute to a positive, resident-focused dining experience every shift.
