Job summary

RegalCare seeks a dedicated Dietary Cook at Worcester to prepare nutritious meals for residents while upholding food safety standards. You will work with the Food Services Director to review menus and ensure timely production, with emphasis on quality presentation.

Ideal candidates have a high school diploma, 2 years dietary experience, and culinary training is a plus. This role requires leadership, reliable teamwork, and the ability to follow written and oral instructions in a healthcare

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• 2 years of dietary experience.
• Culinary Arts training is a plus.
• Ability to lead and supervise staff.

Responsibilities

• Review menus prior to food preparation.
• Perform administrative duties such as completing forms, reports, etc.
• Assure all dietary procedures are followed.
• Operate kitchen equipment safely and effectively, including meat slicer, food processor, mixers, ovens, grills, steamers, dishwasher, dumb waiter, and warmer cabinets.
• Organize walk-in freezer, storeroom, kitchen tables, and counters.
• Assist in establishing food production line to assure meals are prepared on time.
• Represent the community with a positive attitude and pride when interacting with potential residents and families.
• Prepare and serve nutritious meals with high-quality presentation and flavorful options.
