Community Eldercare Services (CES) is seeking a Dietary Cook to join our team. The role involves preparing meals per resident diet specifications, reviewing menus, and guiding dietary staff to ensure accuracy and sanitation.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent is required.
• 1-year college/technical certificate preferred.
• 3–6 months related food preparation experience or equivalent.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Customer service oriented with an outgoing personality.
• Ability to multi-task with detail-oriented tasks.
• Intermediate computer skills.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and cook food according to resident diet specifications and menus.
• Review menus prior to preparation and ensure accurate portioning.
• Direct and assist dietary staff in food prep, serving, and cleaning.
• Ensure sanitation of dishes, utensils, and work areas.
• Check meal trays for accuracy with diet cards.
• Maintain proper storage of foods and supplies; prep for upcoming meals.
• Assist in inventorying and storing incoming foods and supplies.
• Review diet changes and adjust menus as necessary.
• Collaborate with Dietary Manager and team to maintain a safe, organized kitchen.
• Perform additional duties as assigned.
