Job summary

Stellar Health Group in Barre, VT is seeking a Cook to join our dietary team. Shifts: mornings 06:00-15:00, evenings 12:00-22:00, weekends required. We offer a family-like team and a home-like workplace.

Responsibilities include reviewing and preparing meals per menus, assisting with special meals, keeping kitchen clean, following safety procedures, managing inventory, and performing other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

• Ability to read, write and speak the English language.
• High School diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Serve Safe certification preferred.
• Ability to comply with departmental safety policies and procedures.
• Ability to perform work tasks within the physical demand requirements of the position.

Responsibilities

• Review and prepare meals in accordance with planned menus.
• Assist in food preparation for special meals, parties etc.
• Maintain kitchen, food storage and preparation areas in a clean, safe, and sanitary condition always.
• Ensure all food procedures and safety regulations are followed in accordance with established policies.
• Assist in inventory and storing food supplies as necessary.
• May perform other duties as assigned.
