AVIR Health Group seeks a qualified Dietary Cook to join our family—responsible for preparing high-quality meals for residents, guests, and staff in compliance with state health rules and facility standards. You will work with modified diets and scale recipes as needed while maintaining quality and presentation.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Previous office experience preferred.
• Previous Nursing Home experience preferred.
• Culinary and/or food service experience in a health care facility preferred.

Responsibilities

• Utilize a variety of cooking and food preparation equipment and techniques.
• Prepare simple food regimes and basic modified diets regarding individual resident nutritional needs.
• Adjust recipes to yield the required number of servings if necessary.
• Test recipes and recommend changes in recipes.
• Prepare and cook food in batches, maintaining high quality and appeal.
• Directs activities of one or more workers who assist in preparing and serving meals.
