Job summary

Journey in Twin City, GA is seeking a dedicated cook to prepare meals for residents in a care setting. You will follow dietary guidelines, ensure proper portions and presentation, and work closely with the care team and facility staff.

Ideal candidates have at least one year of institutional cooking experience, with strong knowledge of food safety practices, recipe reading, and inventory management. This on-site role includes PTO and benefits, with a focus on quality resident care.

Qualifications

• At least 1 year of institutional cooking, preferably long-term care or hospital.
• Ability to read/interpret recipes, menus, production sheets and related docs.
• Strong communication to coordinate with team while adhering to health standards.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and serve meals per dietary guidelines, ensure portion control and proper presentation.
• Maintain safe food handling, monitor storage and sanitation protocols.
• Operate kitchen equipment, manage inventory and coordinate with staff and residents.
