Job summary

Grand River Health & Rehab in Ohio is seeking a dedicated dietary aide to prepare meals in a skilled nursing setting in accordance with resident diet specifications and safety standards. You will support food preparation and service while maintaining clean dining and kitchen spaces and following all health and infection control policies.

This full-time role offers wage of $18.00 per hour with flexible shifts, comprehensive benefits, and opportunities for tuition assistance to support career

Qualifications

  • Must be a high school graduate or equivalent.
  • Working knowledge of the fundamentals of food safety and sanitation.
  • Must meet and remain current with state requirements for food handler training.

Responsibilities

  • Prepare food in accordance with prescribed resident diet specifications and safety procedures.
  • Assist in food preparation and service while maintaining clean, sanitary kitchen and dining areas.
  • Follow health, sanitary and infection control policies and duties as directed by the Food Service Director or Cook.

Position Summary:

The primary purpose of your job is to prepare food in accordance with prescribed resident diet specifications, community procedures, and food safety and sanitation regulations, under the supervision of the Food Service Director. You will also assist in food preparation and service while maintaining clean and sanitary conditions in the kitchen and dining areas as directed by the Food Service Director or Cook. Follows all health, sanitary and infection control policies and maintains established standards of practice set forth by the community’s administration and Dietary Policies and Procedures.

Education/Qualifications:
  • Must be a high school graduate or equivalent is required.

  • Must possess a working knowledge of the fundamentals of food safety and sanitation.

  • Must meet and remain current with state specific requirements for food handler training.

Shift and Wage:
  • Full-Time Opportunity Available

  • Shifts Needed: Varies, Flexibility Required

  • Wage: $18.00 per hour
