Job summary

Atrium Centers Heritage Nursing & Rehabilitation Community is hiring a Cook to support our residents in Zeeland, MI. You’ll prepare meals that meet dietary needs and contribute to a warm dining experience in a 100% employee-owned environment.

Responsibilities include preparing meals according to diet specifications, following the Dietary Supervisor, maintaining food safety, and ensuring timely service. We value reliability, teamwork, and clear communication in our care-focused community.

Qualifications

• Minimum 1 year cooking experience for large groups; LTC experience preferred.
• Ability to scale and adjust recipes to facility needs.
• Strong written and verbal communication.

What You’ll Do

• Prepare meals according to resident diet specifications and menu plans

• Follow direction from the Dietary Supervisor to ensure consistency and quality

• Comply with all facility dietary policies, procedures, and sanitary regulations

• Maintain a clean, safe, and organized kitchen environment

• Ensure proper food handling, storage, and portion control

• Support timely meal service for residents

What You Bring

• Minimum of one (1) year cooking experience for a large group; long-term care or institutional experience preferred

• Ability to scale and quantify recipes to meet facility needs

• Strong written and verbal communication skills

• Service-oriented mindset with a willingness to learn

• Positive, dependable, and team-focused attitude
