Job summary

Torrington Center for Nursing and Rehabilitation is seeking a part-time evening cook to deliver quality meals and customer satisfaction in a residential care setting. Responsibilities include preparing, cooking, serving meals, managing tray lines, and maintaining kitchen cleanliness in accordance with dietary orders and facility policies.

Requirements include ServSafe certification, minimum 2 years of large-scale cooking experience, strong leadership and communication skills, and a high school

Qualifications

• Minimum 2 years of large-scale cooking experience preferred.
• Strong knowledge of large scale and therapeutic food prep.
• Excellent communication and ability to work with a team.

Responsibilities

• Prepare, cook, and serve all planned meals.
• Manage meal/tray line service and presentation.
• Maintain kitchen cleanliness and schedule adherence.
• Ensure compliance with resident diet orders.
• Communicate openly with RDs and nursing staff.

• general cleaning kitchen schedules
• compliance with resident Diet Orders
• open communication with RDs
