Job summary

Canyon Springs Post Acute in San Jose, CA is seeking an experienced Dietary Cook to join our dietary services team. This full-time role supports residents with nutritious meals aligned to therapeutic diets and physician orders. Split shift (2 days AM / 2 days PM) offers AM and PM coverage to maintain consistent dining services.

Ideal candidates bring SNF or healthcare kitchen exposure, ServSafe preferred, and a commitment to reliability and teamwork in a supportive setting.

Qualifications

• Experience in SNF or healthcare settings preferred.
• Knowledge of therapeutic and texture-modified diets.
• Understanding of food safety regulations and best practices.
• Able to maintain reliable attendance and teamwork.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and cook meals according to established menus, recipes, and therapeutic guidelines.
• Ensure compliance with dietary restrictions, physician orders and food safety standards.
• Maintain proper storage, sanitation, and infection control in the kitchen.
• Monitor food quality, freshness and presentation.
• Collaborate with the Dietary Manager and care team to support resident nutrition.

Canyon Springs Post Acute is seeking an experienced, dependable, and motivated Dietary Cook to join our dietary services team.
