Job summary

Canyon Springs Post Acute in San Jose, CA is seeking an experienced Dietary Cook to join our dietary services team. The ideal candidate has SNF, rehab, or healthcare kitchen background and is dedicated to preparing nutritious meals that meet therapeutic dietary requirements for residents.

This full-time, split-shift role offers AM/PM coverage, a pay rate of $20.00–$21.00 per hour DOE, and benefits including medical, dental, vision, PTO, and a 401(k).

Qualifications

• Previous Dietary Cook experience in SNF, post-acute, rehab, assisted living, or healthcare environment preferred.
• Knowledge of therapeutic diets, texture-modified diets, and food safety regulations.
• Ability to work scheduled AM and PM shifts.
• ServSafe Certification preferred.
• Strong attendance, reliability, and teamwork skills.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and cook meals according to established menus, recipes, and therapeutic diet guidelines.
• Ensure compliance with dietary restrictions, physician orders, and food safety standards.
• Maintain proper food storage, sanitation, and infection control procedures.
• Monitor food quality, freshness, and presentation.
• Maintain a clean, organized, and safe kitchen environment.
• Collaborate with the Dietary Manager and care team to support resident satisfaction and nutritional needs.

Canyon Springs Post Acute is seeking an experienced, dependable, and motivated Dietary Cook to join our dietary services team. The ideal candidate has prior experience in a Skilled Nursing Facility (SNF), rehabilitation center, or healthcare setting and is committed to providing residents with high-quality, nutritious meals that meet therapeutic dietary requirements.

Dietary Cook (SNF Experience Preferred)

Full-Time | Split Shift (2 Days AM / 2 Days PM)

Pay: $20.00 - $21.00 per hour DOE

Key Responsibilities
