BROADWAY MANOR in Milton, PA is seeking a part-time Cook to assist with meal preparation and support the dietary team in menu planning and catering activities.

The Cook will ensure food safety, follow recipes, and help maintain a clean, organized kitchen while assisting with training and kitchen operation improvements. This role emphasizes teamwork and reliable service in a care facility.

Qualifications

• Prior experience in a kitchen setting or similar role preferred.
• Familiarity with food safety guidelines and practices.
• Knowledge of menu planning is a plus.
• Experience in assisting with catering activities is beneficial.

Responsibilities

• Assist in meal preparation and cook meals following designated recipes and portion sizes.
• Handle food in compliance with health and safety regulations.
• Support the dietary department in menu planning.
• Collaborate with the team to ensure smooth kitchen operations.
• Maintain cleanliness and organization of the kitchen area.
• Adhere to proper food handling techniques
• Monitor inventory levels and assist in ordering supplies as needed to ensure a consistent flow of necessary ingredients.
• Assist in training new kitchen staff and educating them on proper kitchen practices.
• Participate in staff meetings and contribute to the continuous improvement of the kitchen operations.
• Assist in other duties related to food service as needed.
