Job summary

AVIR Health Group is seeking a qualified Dietary Cook to join our team in Texas. The role focuses on preparing and cooking high-quality foods for regular and modified diets for residents, guests, and staff, while adhering to state health rules and facility standards.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED is required.
• Culinary and/or food service experience in a health care facility preferred.
• Previous nursing home experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Utilize cooking and food preparation equipment and techniques.
• Prepare simple food regimes and basic modified diets per residents' nutritional needs.
• Adjust recipes to yield required servings.
• Test recipes and suggest changes to improve quality and appeal.
• Prepare and cook food in batches while maintaining high quality.
• Directs activities of one or more workers who assist in preparing and serving meals.

The purpose of this role is to prepare and cook high-quality foods for all regular and modified diets, serving residents, guests, and employees. Ensure all preparation and cooking strictly adheres to State Department of Health Rules and Regulations and established facility standards. • Directs activities of one or more workers who assist in preparing and serving meals.

Qualifications for Dietary Cook:

• High school diploma or GED.
• Previous office experience preferred.
• Previous Nursing Home experience preferred.
• Culinary and/or food service experience in a health care facility preferred.
