Job summary

AVIR Health Group is seeking a qualified Dietary Cook to join our family and support residents, guests, and employees. You will prepare high-quality foods for regular and modified diets while adhering to health regulations and facility standards.

Walk-ins are welcome daily and the role includes benefits such as 401k, paid time off, family health insurance, and supportive corporate backing.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED is required.
• Culinary and/or food service experience in a health care facility preferred.
• Nursing home experience preferred.
• Previous office experience is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Utilize various cooking and food preparation equipment and techniques.
• Prepare simple food regimes and basic modified diets for residents.
• Adjust recipes to yield required servings.
• Test recipes and recommend changes.
• Prepare and cook food in batches with high quality and appeal.
• Directs activities of one or more workers who assist in preparing and serving meals.

We are searching for a Dietary Cook that is resident, and family-focused, a team builder, and excited about the opportunity to assist in building a facility culture. The purpose of this role is to prepare and cook high-quality foods for all regular and modified diets, serving residents, guests, and employees. Ensure all preparation and cooking strictly adheres to State Department of Health Rules and Regulations and established facility standards.
