Job summary

Saber Healthcare Group in a skilled nursing setting is seeking a kitchen professional to prepare meals per resident diet specifications and community procedures. You’ll work under the Food Service Director, following health and sanitation regulations to ensure safe, appetizing meals for residents.

Responsibilities include sanitation, tray assembly, and supporting the dietary team. The role offers Full-Time and Part-Time options with a focus on respect, safety, and resident well-being.

Qualifications

• Must be a high school graduate or equivalent.
• Knowledge of food safety and sanitation requirements.
• Ability to prepare and serve meals adhering to diets.
• Must follow infection control policies.
• Ability to work with residents respectfully.

Position Summary:

The primary purpose of your job is to prepare food in accordance with prescribed resident diet specifications, community procedures, and food safety and sanitation regulations, under the supervision of the Food Service Director. Follows all health, sanitary and infection control policies and maintains established standards of practice set forth by the community's administration and Dietary Policies and Procedures.

Education/Qualifications:

• Must be a high school graduate or equivalent is required.
• • We can provide guidance and resources to help you earn your GED.
• Must possess a working knowledge of the fundamentals of food safety and sanitation.
• Must meet and remain current with state specific requirements for food handler training.
• Must be able to Prepare and serve food and meals in a manner that protects residents from food borne illness.
• • Meals should be palatable and appetizing in accordance with planned menus, diet plans, recipes, portions and temperature control procedures and community policies.
• This includes therapeutic, substitute and special diets specific to individual residents.
• Must be able to adhere to universal precautions, sanitation, safety, and infection control policies and procedures.
• Direct and assist in cleaning, sanitizing work areas, equipment, floors, dishes and utensils.
• Must be able to run/participate in establishing food service production line to assure that meals are served on time and trays are accurate for menu, diet preferences, and orders.
• Must treat all residents fairly, and with kindness, dignity and respect and in compliance with resident rights.

Shift and Wage:

• Full-Time and Part-Time Opportunity Available
• Shifts Needed: 6a-2p and 12p-8p
